Refer a friend: rewards, conditions and a word of caution
Referral programmes pay you for bringing a new player to the casino. You share a personal link, a friend registers through it and, once they meet the conditions, both of you may receive a reward. The mechanics are simple; the conditions and the social side are where it gets complicated. Whether Boomerang runs such a programme for your account, and on what terms, is shown by the operator. This page explains what is typical and what to think about before you send a link to anyone.
How a referral usually works
- You copy a personal referral link or code from your account area.
- Your friend registers through that link — registration without it usually does not count.
- The friend verifies the account and meets a qualifying condition, often a minimum deposit or an amount wagered.
- The reward is credited, frequently as bonus money with its own wagering, sometimes as spins.
Conditions to check
| Condition | Why it exists |
|---|---|
| Friend must be a new customer | Existing accounts cannot be re-referred |
| Different address, device and payment method | Prevents self-referral with duplicate accounts |
| Qualifying deposit or wagering by the friend | Rewards only active referrals |
| Limit on number of referrals | Caps the programme's cost |
| Wagering on the reward | The reward is treated like any other bonus |
What a reward is worth
Illustrative example, not Boomerang's terms. A referral pays 20 units of bonus money after the friend deposits at least 50 units, with 30× wagering on the reward. To turn the 20 units into withdrawable money you must bet 600 units; on a 96% slot, the expected cost of that betting is about 24 units. On average the reward pays for the play it requires, but not much more. Its real value is extra play time, not income.
The social side
A referral link is an invitation to gamble with real money. Before sharing one, ask whether the person is an adult, whether gambling is legal where they live, and whether they can afford to lose what they deposit. Never send links to someone who has told you they are trying to stop or who has self-excluded elsewhere. A small bonus is not worth a friendship or someone's financial stability. If you are unsure, do not send the link — nothing is lost.
Fair-play reminders
- Do not create accounts for others or use their details.
- Do not post links where minors can see them.
- Do not promise friends returns or "easy money" — gambling has none.
