Free spins: what a bundle of spins is really worth
"100 free spins" sounds bigger than "a 20-unit bonus", but they can be exactly the same thing. Free spins are a bonus with a fixed bet size, locked to specific slots, and their value depends on three numbers that rarely appear in the banner: the value per spin, the wagering on winnings and the maximum cashout. This page shows how to read those numbers. We do not state which games or how many spins Boomerang currently offers — the offer's own terms decide that.
Value per spin: the number that matters
The face value of a spin bundle is spins × value per spin. 100 spins at 0.10 units are worth 10 units of play; 20 spins at 1 unit are worth 20 units. The second offer is twice as large, even though it looks five times smaller. The value per spin is usually written in the terms or visible in the game once the spins load.
Over many spins, a slot returns its RTP on average. So 10 units of spins on a 96% game produce roughly 9.6 units of winnings on average — before any wagering is applied. That figure is the starting point for everything else.
Winnings: wagering and the cap
Illustrative example, not Boomerang's terms: 50 spins at 0.20 units (10 units of play) produce 14 units of winnings. The offer says winnings must be wagered 35× and the maximum cashout from the spins is 50 units.
- Wagering = 14 × 35 = 490 units of bets.
- Expected loss while wagering at 96% RTP ≈ 490 × 4% = about 20 units — more than the 14 units won.
- If luck carries the balance to 80 units, only 50 can be withdrawn.
In short: the cap limits the upside, and the wagering eats most of the average result. Offers labelled "no wagering" or "wager-free" change this completely, which is why they are worth looking for even when the spin count is lower.
Eligible games
Free spins are locked to one slot or a short list. Our lobby overview covers titles such as Snoop Dogg Dollars, Elvis Frog TRUEWAYS, Rise of Olympus Extreme and Burning Coins 20. These are examples of slots we describe, not a list of games for any free-spin offer — the eligible titles are named in each promotion. If spins land on a high-volatility game, expect most bundles to return little and a few to return a lot.
Comparing spins with a match bonus
| Offer | Face value | Wagering on | Main limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| 100 spins at 0.10 | 10 units | Winnings only | Maximum cashout |
| 20 spins at 1.00 | 20 units | Winnings only | Maximum cashout |
| 50% match on 40 units | 20 units | Bonus or deposit plus bonus | Maximum bet and expiry |
Illustrative comparison, not Boomerang's terms. Spins wager only what they win, so the absolute wagering is often lower than with a match bonus of the same face value. The cap, however, can be tight.
Practical checklist
- Find the value per spin and multiply by the number of spins.
- Note the wagering on winnings and the maximum cashout.
- Check how many days you have to use the spins and to finish wagering.
- Play the spins on the named game only — spins on other titles do not exist.
