Promo codes: how they work and why we don't list any
Search for any casino and you will find pages full of "exclusive codes". Many of them are expired, invented or tied to someone else's account. We take a different approach: this page contains no Boomerang codes at all. We cannot check which codes are valid for your account today, and a wrong code is worse than none — the deposit goes through, the bonus does not, and the moment to fix it often passes. What we can do is explain how codes work, where they go and how to check one before you rely on it.
What a promo code does
A promo code is a key that attaches a specific offer to your account. The offer behind it is an ordinary bonus with its own wagering, maximum bet and expiry. Casinos use codes to run offers for particular groups — newsletter subscribers, partner sites, returning players — without showing them to everyone. The code itself has no value; only the terms behind it do.
Where codes are usually entered
| Place | When it is used | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Registration form | Codes for new accounts | Field is often optional and easy to skip |
| Cashier, before deposit | Deposit bonuses and reloads | Enter before confirming the payment |
| Promotions or bonus page | Free spins and special offers | Activation may need a later deposit |
| Account settings / redeem field | Spins or credits without a deposit | Expiry often starts on redemption |
Where Boomerang places its code field, if an offer needs one, is visible in the operator's own interface.
Checklist for any code you find
- Source: does the code come from the operator, its newsletter or a partner page you trust?
- Date: is there an end date, and has it passed?
- Eligibility: new players only? Specific countries? Specific payment methods?
- Terms: can you read the full offer terms before you use it?
- Order: do you know whether the code goes in before or after the deposit?
If you cannot answer the fourth question, do not deposit for the code. A code whose terms you cannot see is a promise you cannot check.
A timing example
Illustrative example, not Boomerang's terms. A code gives a 50% reload on deposits of at least 20 units, and must be entered in the cashier before payment. A player deposits 30 units, then remembers the code and enters it on the promotions page. The system replies that the deposit has already been processed. Result: 30 units in the balance, no 15-unit bonus. Entering the code first would have taken ten seconds.
Codes and responsible play
Code-based offers are often sent by email or message with a deadline. If such messages push you to deposit more often than you planned, unsubscribe from marketing in your account settings — it does not affect your access to standard offers. More on the offers themselves: reload bonuses, welcome bonus and bonus terms.
